At 9 years of age, as I walked across a vacant lot in my small home town and older and wiser girl told me that Santa Claus was not real. I was devastated. I confronted my Mom and she confessed. I had good parents but they were products of the culture. When I went away to a church supported college, I was required to take religion. The professor of religion told me that the Bible was a myth and that Adam and Eve were like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Any foundation that had been laid in my life to receive the finished work of Jesus was, in that moment, was de-railed.
Many families live in a fairy tale. Our children love the fuzzy little bunnies at Easter time believing that they can lay colored eggs. We also teach them that Santa Claus in a red suit flies through the air in one night delivering gifts to all good little girls and boys, and they have discovered that only the poor kids don’t get presents. We also promote the tooth fairy who magically gives money for lost teeth. There are little cupids that shoot arrows and cause people to fall in love on Valentine’s Day. Don’t even get me started on Halloween. These are the same people who believe in the THEORY of evolution. BANG!
Why do we like myths? How can we not believe in the Creator of the Universe? We have many high forms of life from human to the smallest cellular life that exist on the bottom of the sea – each one of them unique with complex characteristics that cannot be duplicated except by making a poor copy through cloning. We create NO-thing from nothing.
So, back to the talented little bunnies that lay colored eggs. I address the evolutionist, and ask, “Scientifically, can you please tell me when bunnies began to lay eggs?”
I am not the Grinch! The Easter Bunny is such a silly tradition. Jesus Christ, our Creator, actually died and rose again on Resurrection Sunday so that you and I could have a wonderful love relationship with Father God. His resurrection is such good news because it means that when we accept His finished work, we are resurrected into Eternal Life, our sins forgiven.
In our S.W.I.M. fellowship, we have two young children who love living in the atmosphere of the anointing and praying for each of us. They don’t need a fairy tale because they have the real thing!! They don’t have to be convinced that a fuzzy bunny lays eggs. They know the Truth and are loved and loving.
One of the teens, who has grown up in this culture of the Presence of God, is a fine, mature, and loving young woman who is full of life and fun. Her parents are proud of the woman she is becoming.
Today’s Lesson: Are you tired of hanging out in church where the culture is so infiltrated by the world that it is easy to believe that the Bible is a myth and that Jesus Christ is just a historical figure.
Are you hungry for the power of God and the relationship with Father the Word promises?
Do you really believe that we don’t need to be built up in our most holy faith any more?
When you read in the Scriptures you see there is power available to the believer, but you have never seen it. So you settle back into the myth and pet the fuzzy bunnies.
I invite you to spend time reading the Bible for yourself and deciding what you really believe. Ask God to send you a mentor who has really experienced a heavenly relationship.
Do you believe that Father God provided everything that we need for life and godliness?
Find out today for yourself. Ask, “Do I believe that Jesus Christ really provided for forgiveness, eternal life and a door to the Heavenly Father?”
Do you believe there is a demonic realm that has blinded you to the Truth?
Ask Father to show you the Truth. Start with the Gospel of John, and then read 1, 2, and 3rd John.
For me, it was about love and John is the one that Jesus loves. I want that too.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1 Corinthians 2:3-5 (NASB)
3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4 and my [a]message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not [b]rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
2 Peter 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Acts 17: 31, 32
31Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
32And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
“ HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM.”
2 Corinthians 4:4
in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
